Join Us On Our Journey
We are a young American couple who left everything to travel the world for over a year. Sylvie was an elementary school teacher and Scott was a management consultant helping pharma/biotech companies with their marketing strategy.
We plan to travel through South America, Europe, India and SE Asia. We leave for Colombia on August 18th, 2015. We have built this website to share our stories and to help all of you that aspire to travel the world as well. We will be keeping a blog, sharing amazing photographs, and updating our routes and finances to help others in their worldly travels.
Backpacking is a glorious thing! But packing your bags alone won't get you around the globe. For that you'll need a plan. Here is a list of 10 exotic places where you can find volunteer opportunities in exchange for free room & board.
We spent 492 days traveling around the world. I kept meticulous notes--not only of what we did but how much it all cost. We spent less than $45/person/day and traveled extremely luxuriously (compared to ex-USA backpackers). Read to find out more.
